Title of Volunteer Opportunity: Board Member
Summary: We are looking for new board members to support LLS as the world’s largest funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services nonprofit.
Job Description: We are looking for board members who could assist in one of the following areas: Project Management, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Human Resources, Technology, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Operations, Marketing, Social Media.
Each of our new Executive Committee members for each of our campaigns (e.g., Light The Night, Visionaries of the Year, and Student Visionaries of the Year) meet with the campaign's respective Manager to review the role. They will also receive a welcome kit with information that they can reference throughout their tenure. During the respective campaigns, the Executive Committee members meet on a regular basis (often monthly, but this may differ based on campaign) as a group. Executive Committee members often meet 1:1 with their respective Campaign Manager as well on an as needed basis to provide individualized support throughout their tenure.
