Public Allies Delaware is a paid apprenticeship program that places Allies at local nonprofits where they create, improve, and expand services that address a variety of issues; that include youth development, education, public health, community and economic development and the environment.
In addition, Allies will work with other Allies and community members to create and implement sustainable community-led team service projects using an asset-based approach. Allies will also participate in weekly trainings with local community and civic leaders on topics such as public speaking, conflict resolution, logic models, diversity, strategic planning, leadership development, and media literacy.
We are recruiting Allies to begin service 10/1 and 10/15 for our second and third cohort.
